Red Zone Sports introduction
A fresh face on the sportsbook market, Red Zone Sports launched in 2017 with a promise to bring UK punters a significant chunk of the action in the US sports market.
While their traditional market offer delivers on a host of classic UK sportsbook offers, from horse racing to football, cricket, boxing, darts and more, their US sportsbook is rather unique, offering up-to-date wagering options on all of the major American sports.
Site design and user interface
When you dial up Red Zone Sports you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise. The interface, in shades of grey with white fonts, is super easy to read and presents copious amounts of extremely useful information without being even remotely garish.
Smooth, sleek and informative the site’s designers clearly had the user in mind when they crafted the sportsbook’s interface.
As is par for the course with a number of major branded sports books, the left side bar provides a clean and easy to read list of the post popular sports bets of the day, followed by the usual list of sports to bet on. Scroll further down the left side bar and you’ll come across all of Red Zone Sport’s basic information including FAQs, policy statements, betting rules, live results, stats and more.
The center window offers up a slider with bonus options and daily specials and virtual games, without being too obtrusive or in your face and still completely informative. Beneath the sliders there is a second, to use bar allowing punters to select their sport of choice in relation to ongoing or upcoming action.
Once you’ve selected your sport, you get an overview of the days matches, count down timers to the start of the match or a live clock telling you how much time is left in an existing game and the odds.
On the right side bar you’ll find the bet slip as well as a series of promotional offers primarily serving up reward points by the type of bet you make. Rewards points can later be cashed in for bonus offers that include things like diamond studs, Gucci watches, and Swarovski pens, adding greater value to your betting pound.
On the down side, as they are so new on the market, Red Zone has yet to come out with a mobile offer, a fact more than compensated for by the breadth of their offer, focus on US sports and competitive odds.
The betting options at Red Zone Sports are pretty much industry standard across the board. Red Zone allows for live betting and gives you the option to stream the game, again with a unique selection of US sports that you can access through their drop down menus, with a total offer of 90 sports.
While most major sportsbooks tapping the US market follow the odds set in Las Vegas, Red Zone is unique in offering greater value by toting their own line, keeping them both competitive and at times ahead of the pack in terms of their value proposition.
While Red Zone Sports may be new to the game, we found the clarity and intuitiveness of their site a strong plus. That, combined with their penchant for US sports offerings and often better than Vegas odds, made this site a real winner in our book.
